Biography

Ryan is a passionate performer and educator based in Austin, TX. He is currently performing with Texas Americana Artist of the Year Annie Davis and Austin-based pop group Painterly. He has performed with other notable Austin artists such as Scott Strickland, Sam Johnson, Glass Bandit, and many more.

In addition to touring and performing, Ryan maintains a vibrant private lessons studio in Austin, with multiple performances every year.

He holds an M.A. in Music from the UMKC Conservatory and a B.B.A. from The University of Iowa. He has studied with John Kizilarmut, James Dreier, Michael Tooles, and Tom Corrao. Ryan has had the privilege of learning from and performing with Francisco Mora Cattlett, Rufus Reid, Bobby Watson, and Brian Lynch throughout his studies.

Prior to living in Austin, Ryan maintained a busy performing schedule in Kansas City at The Green Lady Lounge, All Nations Breakthrough Gospel Church, and countless other local venues and festivals. He also maintained a teaching studio of 30+ students, classes, and ensembles at Music House School of Music.
